Tips On How To Optimize Your Pushups To Develop Mo


Doing pushups on a regular basis is a great way to build muscle as it is one of the most basic exercises that you can literally do just about anywhere. In fact, you do not need any fancy equipment to do pushups as you just need some floor space to benefit from this simple exercise. You can actually do pushups in different ways so here are tips on how to build upper body strength.

1. Start with normal pushups

These are perhaps the most common and practically everyone has done them at least one point in their lives. Start by getting down on the floor and place your hands on the floor near your shoulders. Then as you keep on your feet together and your back straight, push your body all the way up. Then go all the way back down and repeat several times.

2. Challenge yourself with diamond pushups

This pushup is much more challenging as it uses more of your chest muscles. What you want to do is place your thumbs and index fingers together in order to create a diamond. Then position yourself on the floor and place your hands in this position directly in front of your chest. Then just like the normal pushup repeat several times or until you get tired.

3. Build upper chest muscles with decline pushups

To do this pushup you will need a stable surface for which you can place your toes as you are going to elevate feet so they are higher than your hands. This exercise is exactly the same as the normal pushup but it focuses more on developing your upper chest. To challenge yourself even more you can even mix this one with the diamond pushup.

Ideally what you should be doing is to mix these types of pushups to create an even more intense workout. To make it even more challenging what you could do is to have someone sit on your back as the extra weight will really much more input. In addition to pushups, you can also do other effective exercises such as pull ups, dips and even crunches.

If you make yourself follow a rigid schedule then you would be rather surprised as to your results but you need to be consistent with what you need. These types of exercises are really easy to perform and they do not require expensive memberships or anything.
